Drum Kit Tuition
Rhythmic Spirit Drum Tuition has been the main part of tuition for the last 7 years and we have educated a wide number of students from ages 5 up to people of a retired age. Using our tailored materials which you can check out in our resources section we can get you up to any standard you want and you will usually walk away after the first lesson with several new grooves and ideas that you didn't have before.
Aside from this Rhythmic Spirit teach Drum Students from Grade 1 up to and including Grade 8 in both the new Rockschool and Trinity Guildhall Exams. This has been a strong asset of the organisation with a 100% pass rate to date in which you are only entered when our tutors think you are ready for it. We also constantly review your progress with you and feed back how you are getting on during or at the end of every lesson. Younger pupils are given an assessment / tracking sheet to help them see how they are progressing all of which are related to the examinations we can enter you for.
Alongside this we offer a range of teaching materials from our own booklets that cater for 5 to 8 year olds, 9 to adults and adults using KT Percussions teaching materials as well.

Percussion Tuition
Percussion like drum tuition has been taught at rhythmic spirit for several years to a wide range of students. If you have always wanted to learn to play a percussion instrtument then this is the place for you. At present we currently offer tuition in Bongos, Congas and Djembe although many of these skills can be transfered to a wide range of untuned percussion. Rhythmic Spirit can also offer Snare drum tuition to an advanced level for those with an interest in a more classical route. This also lends itself to grading which is offered in Trinity Guildhall.
A wide range of skills are covered in this field and you will be encouraged to learn a range of instruments depending on your personal goals in this area.
If you require very specific types of tuition then a tailor made package can be arrange for you in such areas as African Drumming, warm up routine, soloing techniques, Martillo patterns. In addition to this your technique and posture are often scrutinised by our tutors to help you unlock the potential to attain more advanced skills.

Nigel, from beginners up to advanced, specialising in SEN and children up from 5 years to adults, highly experienced teacher. 1/2 Hour = £13 / 1 Hour = £25. From Chelmsford, Essex.
Iain, Beginners to intermediate. - 1/2 Hour = £10 / 1 Hour = £18. Drum Kit Only. From South Woodham, Essex.
Bass & Guitar Tuition
James, beginners to intermediate. 1/2 Hour = £12 / 1 Hour = £20. from Chelmsford, Essex.

Bass Tuition
Rhytmic Spirit have recently started to offer bass tuition as part of their education services. Bass tuition is offered here for beginners specifically from dedicated and experienced bass players up to intermediate level. Grading is also offered up to and including grade 3. However, if you are interested in just playing the bass and learning songs without to much theory then this can also be offered. In other words we can offer you tuition tailored to your needs helping you obtain the skills you want to learn.
During your lessons you will look at such areas as fingering and plectrum techniques, reading tab and simple notation, playing styles, understanding basic scales and riffs, improvisation, sight reading, ear training along with intervals and some basic theory.

Rhytmic Spirit have recently started to offer tuition in both lead and rhythmn guitar as part of their education services. Guitar tuition is offered here for beginners specifically from dedicated and experienced guitar players up to intermediate level and now advanced from our partner tutor and legendary player David Ainsworth. Grading is also offered up to and including grade 3. However, if you are interested in just playing the guitar and learning songs without to much theory then this can also be offered. In other words we can offer you tuition tailored to your needs helping you obtain the skills you want to learn.
